For any rock and metal musicians and/or fans living in or near North Hollywood during the 2010s (or whatever we’re calling that decade now), Skinny’s Lounge was THE PLACE to be on Wednesday nights! The Rock-A-Holics Karaoke (aka RAHK) Jam was hosted by DJ Skum (aka Skumlove) and featured many original and tribute bands from LA and all over the world. However, the main event was always the full band karaoke show that headlined the night. Whether you wanted to sing, play guitar, jam on bass, and/or rock out on the drums, anyone who attended had a chance to perform songs by bands like AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Lita Ford, Megadeth, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Pat Benatar, RATM, The Runaways, STP, Van Halen and more! There were house band musicians to help keep the stage lineups full and it was always a great time. Most importantly, The RAHK Jam was and still is an outstanding community of musicians and people who might not play an instrument, but still love the music and the people playing it.
RAHK is returning to Skinny’s for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Wednesday August 28th, a perfect night to help close out the summer. I’ll be on drums for a few tunes and best of all, the show will be 100% FREE to attend! Whether you wanna get on stage and jam or just hang out and watch the show, come join us for one more session. You’ll be glad that you did! \m/
