An Amazing Autumn!

Following the success of The Last RAHK Show (thank you EVERYONE for coming out for that), I temporarily escaped from the Los Angeles heatwave for a bit to visit Dublin and London! Each of those trips deserve their own post but alas, I’m limited to music for this one, so I’ll just say if you’re in either place, absolutely pay a visit to The Dev and The Black Heart in London, and the Irish Rock N’ Roll Museum Experience in Dublin (an absolute MUST for Thin Lizzy and U2 fans). It was so great to remain connected with and inspired by the music that I love while being on the other side of the Atlantic.

After returning from my trip across the pond, I went to Gamesound Con in LA for the 3rd year in person, 5th year overall. I can’t say enough good things about this convention and the fantastic video game audio community in general. It was awesome to reconnect with friends from all over the world and meet some new ones from GDC and NAMM again. The convention has expanded to include panels and services for voice actors in addition to the traditional sound design and music teams, so definitely check it out if you’re into that! I also participated in the live, in-person Game Audio Network Guild Demo Derby with judges Paul Lipson, Garry Schyman, and Jason Hayes. As you can see, I was very cool and collected when I realized that I was going to have to explain my compositional choices to these three incredibly accomplished music professionals in a room with….a few people besides myself and the other outstanding composers. Good times!

Shortly after Gamesound Con, and literally the day after my New York Yankees fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, something truly amazing happened. Somehow, some way, former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, a World Series Champion and Hall Of Fame candidate, posted his annual Halloween costume photo on Instagram, which included a song – MY version of the Thundercats theme song! CC was Lion-O and his wife Amber was Cheetara. It was more than a little mind-blowing and a complete honor to have the cover that I put together with VK Lynne and Christian La Rocca included with the post by one of my favorite baseball players. For those who might not know, my first professional goal in life was to play for the Yankees. I thought it would be as a Right Fielder and not some sort of music thing but…close enough. Thank you again CC and of course, Notefornote Music for giving me this huge opportunity!

November saw the launch of a new podcast by another collaborator and my good friend, Alexx Calise! I was asked to be the debut guest, which was fun because she was actually the final guest on my podcast, The Loudmouth Report. Alexx and I had a great talk about music copyrights, licensing, royalties, and the importance of registering your songs. Check out the episode below and click here for the all the episodes!

Finally, the headliner of all this autumn excitement was the tail end of production for the next Conflict One Zero single, which will be released on Friday, December 6th. Celebrate this Bandcamp Friday and the final month of 2024 with the song you Deserve.

Thank you again for following all of my adventures. Have a great holiday season and a Happy New Year!
